Cirqueat vzw has been organizing Cirque@Taque for over twenty years, an annual free festival that fills up park Hof de Bist in Ekeren time and time again. The festival stands thanks to a group of volunteers with a passion for bringing people together for a day full of ambiance and music. And now we're stepping it up a notch. With Cirque@Trappe, Cirqueat vzw is launching a new side project - with the most fanatical cycling fanatics in the organization as the leading group - with which we want to achieve exactly the same as with our festival: strengthen the cultural life within our favorite polder district and bring together the people of Ekeren (and those from far beyond). This time not dancing in front of a stage, but in a peloton on a bicycle!
As the first stage of this tour, we are launching our Cirque@Trappe cycling jerseys. Cycling connoisseurs will undoubtedly recognize in the design the ode to the defunct Cycling World Cup, the championship that spanned ten one-day races that counted as the most important cycling classics, such as the Tour of Flanders or Paris-Roubaix. The leader of that championship was allowed to wear the white jersey with vertical rainbow. Purebred Flandriens like Johan Museeuw and Frank Vandenbroucke shone in this jersey.
The design and distribution of our Cirque@Trappe cycling jerseys is the work of The Vandal, our teammate in this story. The up and coming Antwerp-based clothing brand has been the supplier of Cirque@Taque's employee T-shirts for many years and, above all, is also bitten by the race, with unique designs based on races, the bike and cycling heroes of the past. The Belgian company Bioracer supplies the 100% organic, fair wear textile of the jerseys.
The Cirque@Trappe jerseys come in two versions: Ventoux-white and Koppenberg-black. Both colors can be ordered in Basic- €60 or in Premium- €80.
